Safety

Electricity can kill or severely injure people and cause damage to property from the effects of fires and explosions.

Most electrical accidents occur because people are working on or near equipment that is thought to be dead but which is live; or known to be live but those involved do not have adequate training or appropriate equipment to prevent injury, or they have not taken adequate precautions.

Prevent the problems caused by poor electrical work by choosing qualified, registered local electricians.

Even wiring a plug incorrectly can have serious consequences. You must ensure that your electrical installation and equipment is safe.

Don’t cut corners – electrical installations must be installed by specialists with necessary training, skills and experience to carry out the work safely.
